We recently visited a very nice campsite in Ceres, Petervale Farm. The campsite is on a farm and the kids loved the animals. We went on several long hikes and fished in the dam. A great camping experience was had by all!

The Sandrif campsite in the Ceederberg is one of my favourite. There are so many hiking trails to explore and sleeping in the mountian huts is quite an experience! i urge you to camp in the Ceederberg if you havent, you are really missing out!

Visited a very nice camping resort in Albert Falls, Pietermaritzburg. For only R30pppn it was well worth it with fishing and mountaining bikings. There are lodges for R500per night. Worth a visit. Contact resaa@vodamail.co.za or 082 921 6235, dont miss out on their Spring specials, they have just renovated.

Just returned from a beautiful weekend of camping at the hot springs campsite in Citrisdal. We camped alongside the river in our small two man tent and enjoyed a warm midnight swim. Leading from the campsite there are numerous hiking trails which take one through the surrounding mountains. I recommend this as a weekend camping mission for the whole family!

Camping is by far my faviourite activity. I am a self confessed camping junkie :) My wife, the kids and I make an effort to go camping almost every weekend. The kids have grown up loving camping and nature. Wouldnt have it any other way. My office door reads ‘Gone Camping’.

South Africa has some of the best campsites in the World. I enjoyed the website and the campsites on display. I wish to visit some of them when i get sometime off. The breede river valley huts are adorable. River rafting is also a must, have done the stroms and orange rivers.

Recently went camping near Wilderness…. not quite roughing it but great for a family break – easy access to the lagoon for kyaking and water sports. Campsite is in good condition, facilities clean.. and well maintained. Bought Book of the Road – great map book if you want to explore the Garden route and they highlight the caravan parks and accommodation options… i used with my gps.. it comes with a cd you can upload the routes into your garmin.
